Where are you based?
I live in East London, but enjoy travelling.
Do you have any testimonials from couples or have you been featured in magazines ?
Glad you asked, I’ve been lucky enough to have my wedding photography the subject of several features and interviews in various magazines and websites. Some of the places that have featured my weddings include Brides Magazine, Your Wedding Magazine, Wedding Planner Magazine, Photo Professional Magazine, rocknrollbride.com, Tattoo Revolution Magazine, Saviour Weddings Blog, London Wedding Magazine…
Below are a few testimonials from happy brides and grooms that I’ve had the honour of shooting their wedding day.
” Al captured the best of everyone at our wedding. He was so easy to work with and full of fantastic ideas. On the day itself he struck a great balance between blending in unnoticed and interacting with us. I could not recommend him highly enough. xx ”
– Piera & Tom
“All we can say is WOW we are blown away by how amazing the pics are! You captured every moment that was special to us and more! The shooting style complimented the fun feeling of the day and everyone felt relaxed around you which made for better pictures! We truly LOVE them and want to say a massive THANK YOU! The director of the hotel has emailed me and asked if they can use a couple of the pictures to promote the hotel we had the reception as well! ”
– Michelle & Craig
” We loved our photo shoot with Al. He came up with a constant stream of ideas for us to do, and was really accommodating to our own ideas. He was fun, funny, incredibly creative, utterly professional and the photos he took were spectacular. If you’ve got a weird idea for your wedding photos then Al is definitely the guy to go to. ”
– Nicola & Colin
“ Wow these are great! Thanks Al! Xx. Thanks for rushing them through so we could see them before we got back from the honeymoon too. ”
– Lucy & Chris
” Wedding pictures received yesterday & loved! Thanks Al, they are blinding! 🙂 ”
– Sarah & Liam
Can we meet you before we book you?
Of course, I’m happy to meet for coffee and have a chat with you to see what your plans are for your wedding day and to see if we get on well.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, once you have decided you want to book me, I can send you out the deposit information to secure your booking and the ‘wishlist’ form for the coverage of your day. The full balance is required before the wedding itself.
How long do you keep the files for?
I have a super-nerdy backup regime thanks be being an ex-forensic analyst. In theory I will have a back-up of these images for several years. I keep multiple copies for 12 months after the wedding, but recommend that you keep a back-up of your images at a different location to your home for safety ( I can provide you extra copies or replace back-ups at a small admin cost).
Is there a discount if we have you at the wedding for a few hours less?
I’m happy to shoot the getting ready, ceremony, reception and first dance, but if you want less coverage that is also fine. Not everyone wants a photographer there for the whole day. My wedding rate ensures you are the only client I am focussed on for the day, and I don’t charge by the hour, so you won’t save any money that way.
Do I need to choose colour or black and white, I’m confused?
I shoot everything in colour, then process your images three times so you get images in these styles – Natural, Vintage Black and White, Retro Film Emulsion – People often think they only want the natural looking images but fall in love with the faux retro colours later on, black and white has a timeless feel which I personally prefer. So no, you don’t need to chose in advance.
Will you shoot posed group shots?
Of course! My focus is on capturing the free, unpredictable moments that become memories after a wedding day I prefer to keep the ‘formal shoot’ part of the day short. Usually I recommend up to 5 ‘groups’ to be shot in about a 15 minute period, this way the flow of he day isn’t interrupted and people don’t get bored. The Newlywed posed shots are taken separately to this.
How soon before we can see the photos?
It usually takes 2-4 weeks for me to produce the final images for you.
Can we make prints from the files you give us?
Yes, I include a ‘rights’ document on the USB so that the developer knows that you are allowed to have prints made of the shots. You can’t sell them commercially without additional permissions from me.
